Saturday 17th of September, 10 o clock, in Fibbers (i know, but bear with me)

€3 in to see Moth Complex - www.mothcomplex.com

I saw this band in Eamonn Doran's last night, and they were fantastic. full of energy, good songs, put on a great show. for those of you who dont know, they are an Irish Industrial band, whose debut album 'Core' (out next week) was produced by the one and only Gerry Owens, the mastermind behind Skindive.

according to the website, he programs and plays keyboards for them at live shows, but he wasnt on stage last night - possibly because Lluther are in Germany at the moment :p

nevertheless, they are a band i reckon everyone should check out, particularly if you have a soft spot for Skindive. opening with 'Harder' (or so says the set list i swiped!) they showed they have some kickass heavy riffs, building up some fantastic atmosphere throughout the set and finishing with 'Swarm' - a song which confused the bejaysas out of me - what i thought was a horrifyingly oddly distorted and ring modded guitar riff, turned out to be a horrifyingly oddly distored BASS riff, with the keyboard playing what originally sounded like the bass, and the guitar laiden with a BEJAYSAS load of effects. just ****ing ruled! then the bassist kicked the keyboard up in the air and the keyboard player caught it n the song ended n all was over but it ruled! :D

so yes, GO SEE MOTH COMPLEX
