    It sure is a new set - I have the original 3-disc version dated 2001; the code is BBCDVD1089 if thats any help,

    I got it in Oct 2003 for £22.99 (from Play) so you may as well hang on for the new edition - at least your getting some more episodes for £1

    Had a quick look on CDWOW and they don't seem to have it...

    The new one appears as ebbcdvd1792 so as you say, it's definitely a new set. Tempted to pick it up myself.

    A really great series by the way, even if you have no interest in nature documentaries usually.

    Found it to be very enjoyable and interesting

    you could try the bbc shop probably more expensive with shipping but at least it would tell you if its a new edition
