XtraVision need to sort their UMD cases out

    I rented Pirates of the Caribbean just there and I was given the UMD in one of the square DVD cases that they use. I know there's a very slim chance that the disc will get scratched, due to the teeny tiny opening on the back of the UMD, but what if it did get scratched and I was held responsible?

    They really should invest in blank UMD cases that hold the discs in place instead of havng them sliding around in the DVD case.

    You could say the same for DVD's and the whole back of them are exposed. Run for the hill's !!!

    There's less (if any) chance of a DVD getting scratched in it's case as it's firmly held down, whereas the UMD can't physically be held down in the case.

    i was just thinking that very same thing as lumines rattled its way home with me.

    And then they just handed me the manual loose too.... now i know i'll look after it well but it won't take too many rentals for it to be tattered, battered or lost.

    Sorry guys, but I work for Xtra vision. It's head offices' fault we do not have any suitable UMD cases.

    If you don't want to rent UMDs from us, then don't. Get them elsewhere, if you can.

    They weren't slagging the employees, they were slagging the company. Which generally means slagging top management...

    Eg, Sony etc vs. Toshiba etc with blu-ray vs. hd-dvd. Everyone slags both companies because theyre being retards and releasing competing formats, but that doesnt mean that everyone thinks the poor guy working in the factory is a retard.

    i'm working for xtra vision too. we have the cases for the umd's but the slips (the covers with the name of the umd) are for the normal dvd-cases. some dickhead in head office (probably kevin !()*&^ of xtra-game fame) doesn't have a clue. thus, we have to stuff the umd's bottom end corner (the bit with the logo on it) into the little lip which normally holds a dvd's booklet or whatever.

    i mentioned this before we put them out on the shelves but nothing was done

    The Xtra Vision in Sutton Cross is ****!

    The staff are so lazy.It's like it's a huge burden to go and get a dvd from the back room.
    Over the last 4 years Xtra Vision has gone to toss.

    1:losing my card

    2:giving me a faulty game and cocking up my playstation

    3: not giving me a refund

    4: blaming the scratches on a dvd on me!

    I hate the customers who argue over 75cent the most.

    Crybaby's? Look who's talking. I've never seen someone bitch so much about a job. I agree with all of the above...
    If you can't put up wih us "crybabys" then quit and do the world a favour. You're exactly the kind of Xtra-vision staff people are giving out about.

    Someday I might try working there. I'm sure it will be awful. Sitting down, watching movies all day and occasionally having to work.

    Wow.....that's got to be the worst statement i've heard this year.

    Btw.....Xtra Vision have to have the worst staff going.If they werent so boring they would have no personality!

    As for the UMD's from xtravision if they get damaged i won't be taking responsibility for it. But chances of me damaging one are slim.

    You try working there. And no, I don't get to watch films everyday, that would be pretty boring I think.

    We are a busy store, no time for watching movies everyday like you guys.

    Head office don't treat the staff very well, you wouldn't know unless you worked there.

    I know how the staff can be, some of the staff I've met/worked with are too lazy to write out an amendment for customers who don't owe money.

    I think you guys need to lay off the flames for a minute. Not all the staff are ****, some of us actually work.

    That may be true, but if all you do is moan about the customers what else do you expect us to think?

    Regardless of what company or sevice you work for, if you refer to customers that "suck so badly, bunch of crybabys" or "I hate the customers who argue over 75cent the most" i reckon that most people have you bang to rights

    That was my (bad) reaction to people thrashing the staff here.

    I get a lot of unnecessary crap from some customers, who are just looking for an argument, and when I read some of the comments on here, I am naturally vexed.

    the hole you've dug is too big for a word like "vexed" to fix. you're at the point of no return now...

    anyway, looks like XtraVision wont be changing the UMD cases. in fact, a lot of stores are pulling back the whole "XtraGame" section, as it's not generating enough profit

    You’re a professional”—detect the sarcasm.

    Someone who complains about customers for wanting change or value for money is clearly a professional—not at all lazy.

    If I were you I’d crawl back into your little hole, I think its called Xtravision, and quit convincing yourself you’re a good worker.

    I hope this teaches you to not continuously describe pretty much the entire public as “Crybabies with nothing better to do but give out," over a job you clearly hate.
