Heading up if the rain keeps off. Should be an exciting meeting.

What's everyone think about the big race? I'm undecided myself and would welcome other opinions.

You're best waiting until tonight or even tomorrow morning to see what the going will be like. It was good to firm but it looks sure to have changed dramatically, it's possible a couple of intended runners won't make the lineup. The softer it gets the more it will suit Grey Swallow and Motivator.

The change of weather has highlighted another fine example of courses watering prematurely to keep owners and trainers happy, I just hope it doesn't come up too soft tomorrow and ruin an excellent days racing.

Yeah, I'm veering towards Grey Swallow for that reason - and the odds.

I won't have a look at leopardstown until the morning, I'll see how the going is and I'll make my selections (if any) then.Best of luck at the race meeting, you can't be a good day out at the track :)

Although it has rained pretty heavy, the ground around leopardstown (im not talking the course but around the area of the racecourse) still doesnt seem to have given much give, id say we are looking at Good-to-soft at worst. That is if there is little or no rain overnight. I also stand to be corrected, but i do recall the drainage of leopardstown to be very good. ;)
