I was on this service the other day, and the announced it. It's a shame as it was handy, but lightly used. I think part of the problem was the schedule, and the delays which traffic on the Naas dual-carriageway/M50 caused. A lot of people I've talked to just didn't trust it to get them there on time.

The first to the airport bus was also quite late in the morning, so it missed that peak slot.

    :( fs

    great service. Luxury buses.

timing was quiet tight tho. Earliest was 8am with the timetable saying you'd be in DUB for 10.30...twas closer to 11 or more.

still tho, you shouldn't trust a bus to get you to the airport unless you have oodles of time.

Only used it once mind but very very handy.

That's the second private route to be cancelled in as many weeks.

Dualway's route 613 (Lucan-Parkwest-Crumlin-City) was axed last week.

Sorry to drag this up, but the route is currently running albeit with a new operator. Check out www.bybus.ie for more information.

I see this service is again "suspended indefinitely".

Really irritating - they did no advertising around Naas/Newbridge that I know of, so no one knew it was even back up and running after Aircoach scrapped it. I'm not surprised if it was scrapped (again) due to lack of use.

You would have thought they would have looked at it a little more carefully and either a) not taken the route on due to the low loads which caused it to be scrapped by Aircoach in the first place or b) made some attempt to market it more and try to drum up some business.

There's something funny going on there. I don't understand it fully. Pro bus and By Bus are connected in some way with Aircoach. I see their buses in the Aircoach garage and also parked/stored in the Quickpark Long Term Car Park which is owned by Aircoach. When John O'Sullivan sold Aircoach to First he may have bought/established ByBus?? Pro Bus AFAIK are based in Kenmare but I've seen them with Aircoach Signs on the front window. I don't really know to be honest.

He He, bus in Ireland - total sh!te. That aircoach company didn't even bother its ar$e to put up timetables etc!!!

Bus Eireann are another load of eejits. Bus timetables still in effect from December 1996. Their times are total crap.
