Good article. It's interesting to see how they were screwed on their sequel rights, but also how there doesn't seem to be any regret about making the original film, what with entering into contracts with film studios etc.

In saying that, I much preferred the new 'Amityville Horror' with Ryan Reynolds, regardless of how inaccurate it was -- it was a better horror film than the original.
