You can have any colour you want as long as it's black.

Black looks nice with creme. All black makes it look cheap I think (eg The Gothic model studio)

Tobacco sunburst is nice aswell as the old style sunburst colours ala Jimmy Page. Goldtop's look nice but only with P90's :D

What sort of Les Paul is it anyway? The Thomann site shows a decent enough choice of LP Pictures.

    Getting a standard.

Thomson site has the same photos as the gibson.

    Any other sites?

Getting it for €1805 delivered. :D

Personally I think a white Les Paul has a very certain kind of charm,
First person to say the Darkness gets a fork in the trachea.

Think i'm going for the iced tea the classic les paul look.

Well either that or Honey Burst!

Other guitarist has desert burst so i can't get that or it will just look stupid.

Kill the other guitarist........ then take his. That will save you money too.

    just to let you know,

i bought a classic about a year ago, and i picked the vintage sunburst as depicted here

this is how it really looks

it's a lot darker in the flesh as they would say

Yeah but you don't have studio lights, and don't clean your guitar :D

It has to be said, after watching this thread, I'm gassing for a Les Paul. A Gibson one.

but the studio lights give an unfair reflection as to the real world finish of the guitar.

ohh and that was the camera lens, ahem.

I think urs looks better Cremo compared to the pic. It looks really like Slash's signature one.

There's an Agile Les Paul sitting downstairs but I just don't like it. It's not that it's badly made or anything (cos it's surprisingly well made), I just don't like the feel of it.

root beer is gorgeous. i nearly bought mine in that but since there is a distinct lack of scratchplates at the moment i went for black (incl. s/plate)

    http://www.coda-music.com/

Really cheap and probably the prices around.

They don't do online orders but who cares!! ;)

    There really cheap.

Aye, I've heard good things about Coda alright.

I've been gassing for a Gibson all week. It hurts.

Search ebay USA for Les Pauls and you'll find all the photos you could ever need. Don't go for rootbeer! For some reason it looks different every time. And it's always bad. Personally I'd go for goldtop or ebony. I find Gibson's flame tops really uninspiring. Where's the bookmatching people?

Just heard from friend that the iced tea les paul has red at the back.
    Its this true?

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    Na. Look

    lp5_itnh.jpg

It's just the mahogany. Possibly a tinted stain but it's not bright solid red.

Another colour that will excite the GAS glands is Black Cherry.

Although I think it looks best in a PRS:
