    Hi all,
i posted here a few weeks ago, i remained anonymous but i'm so happy with my news that i'll share with you guys today!...

I started the below thread a few weeks ago looking for some advice. I know i was screamed at to go to the docs that day but i didn't i chickened out again but today i didn't! I went to the doc's and guess what...i'm healthy! I have now got a very very clear mind and all my depression and horrible expectations of cancer ect. is gone.

I feel extremely happy and would just like to offer my thanks to this forum in general and the people who posted in the thread that day (thanks guys!). The advice that day was a contributing factor to me getting the courage to go to the docs today...and i told my gf (as advised in the thread) and she gave me a really big push to go

Never underestimate how helpful your advice can be to people on this forum
    Regards
    Gaz

Dude, congrats on the all clear! i know what you went through as around this time last year I thought I found a lump too. I'll never ever forget the moment I found it, was in the shower & literally had to get out dripping wet & sit on the floor as my legs turned to jelly. Like yourself I arsed around for far too long (roughly a month) getting more & more worried & at the same time angrier & angrier at the world. Especially the girlfriend. Eventually I told her (in tears, with much drink taken) & the next day she marched me down to the doctors. Got the all clear thank jeebus but it was a worrying time.

Anyway the moral of the story people is if you have the even the slightest doubt or worry get down to the doctors. Pronto. Well done again gaz :)

Thanks man....i know, the feelings i have been having the last while were terrible, i was thinking the absolute worst and i was 100% sure i had cancer. Not being able to have kids, the possibily of death, having to quite my studies ect all tormented me. I also got very moody and my gf did take a bit of crap off me. It was actually only last week i told her.

I would second that moral, and would say to anyone who might be in the same position to go to the docs straight away. It's very likely that it will turn out to be nothing to worry about.

Or if it is something serious that the doctors will be given a fighting chance to do something about it before it goes too far.
Testicular cancer in particular has a very good success rate when caught in time.

Yeah it does, and even if it is something serious, in these times it can be cured quite easily...

Time is extremely important, don't be an idiot like me waiting two months

I'm happy for you man. It's a real weight off your shoulders to get checked out and it serves as a good example for others to get checked out as soon as possible as well.

Fair play buddy. I had a scare a few years back to do with something similar and I know how daunting and fearful it can be. Luckily for me it was absolutely nothing to worry about in the end but those 2 weeks of worrying myself sick I never want to go through again.

IMO a thread/story like this should be made sticky (I know it wouldn't but you understand where I'm coming from mods) in order to give people the motivation to get checked for absolutely anything no matter how small you may think it is. Your health is your wealth at the end of the day.
