    Hey, I'm looking for someone who commutes from Newry to Dublin who would be willing to give me a lift and share expenses.

    Alternatively if there is anyone out there who travels to Dundalk from Newry early in the morning, so I could catch the Commuter train.

    :)

    A coworker commutes into Dublin from Newry by train. I think he gets in around 9:30. We're flexible in here.

    Maybe a bus from Newry to Dundalk (Bus Eireann lists a bus dep Newry 6:55, arr Dundalk Bus stn 7:10 - I don't know proximity of bus/train stations).
    There is a 7:15 train from Dundalk, arriving in Connolly at 8:36. This train my stop at Pearse or another station that would suit you, or you could transfer to the DART.

    Bus Eireann lists 3 buses between Newry and Dundalk before 9am:
    6:55 -> 7:10 (15 mins)
    8:00 -> 8:40 (40 mins!)
    8:55 -> 9:20 (25 mins)
    What's with the mad time differences? Traffic influence things that much?

    BTW, that 6:55 bus departure is a direct bus to Dublin, arriving at 8:30. The bus actually leaves Belfast at 6am so might not be reliable enough for using as a train transfer, even if Dundalk bus and train stations are adjacent to each other.

    No. The slow one is a local service that serves some of the villages on the backroads. The other two are Belfast-Dublin express.

    They are a good 10min walk.

    The bus would have no problems with timekeeping out of Belfast. Using the bus for the whole journey to Dublin would be the best option.

    It would be at least a 20 min walk from the main Bus Station in Dundalk to the train station.
