Some university courses make you submit a drugs sample before you attend. Medicine is one I think.

Do they test for illegal drugs or what?

    it depends on the course,

For proper professional courses where they want the right type of people, they're testing for alternative "medicines" like echinacea and other health store stuff.

It's to keep the hippies out, basically. They could bring down the noble professions, such as law and accounting.

I know they test for certain diseases, but I'm not aware of them checking for drug use.
