ARGOS are doing an MP3 player for 29.99
It takes sd and mmc cards and has 128mb built in.

Basic but effective, got one today, seems nice so far :)

Yeah whats the quality like? I have a 256mb mmc lying around. If the quality/battery life was decent enough i'd buy it.

You can get a 1GB MMC card for €68 including postage from these guys.

Nice, but I'm saving up for a iRiver.

Iv only had it a day, but i gotta say, the sound is good and the general feel of it is nice.
I was amazed too, normally Id avoid alba, but i saw it on my way home from the bank today and thought "ah why not!" lol ;)

Ill post back in a few days when ive run it thru its paces ;)

The Argos site has all the details you need. It seems to be excluded from the 16 day money back guarantee...

bought one myself today, nice and neat. Gonna get a 512 or 1gig mmc card so to make it a good mp3 player for the car, with the fm transmitter.
2 minor downsides to it, mmc card sticks out of unit when fitted, and the song tracks are by number and don't display the name of the mp3 song

Same idea but no built in memory included - if maybe u have mmc's already
or want not to use 128mb card.
