Not sure if/when we will ever need those really, major overkill at the moment. Perhaps in the future when we have 4 7800's sli :D .
    Building a pc now with 8 hdd's and only using a 650watt.

i ordered one a few days ago. I originally ordered their 850watt version but they wont be in stock until november so they decided to give me a 1000wat one for no extra cost, as they are in stock this thursday. I cant wait, building a new kickass rig, this will come in handy and also they are supposed to be extremly quiet as the psu is never really under much stress. i cant wait to see this monster of a psu :D

gline...please post some pics + what you're getting from the rails.
Didn't customs hit you with a massive VAT bill?

i wont be building the rig for a few weeks, just getting all the bits together man. No i didnt get a big bill from customs because pc p+c wrote a value of $200 on it. fair play to them.

Cool, though i'm looking at pics..it's not 100% sleeved is it?
Some of the Molex and SATA connectors aren't sleeved. Seems all 6 SATA connectors are daisy chained on a single line, yes?

Don't think you'll ever come close to maxing out the rails on this, should last you years...assuming PSU specs don't change any further.

...assuming PSU specs don't change any further.
Luckily for most of us, they seem to be trending downwards, or at least staying constant. Don't the 7800GTXs use roughly the same, or even slightly less power than the 6800Ultras ? I'm pretty sure AMD and Intels upcoming chip lines are going to be reducing power requirements too.

no 3 satas on 1 line and 3 on another. it is sleeved down to the 1st connector so after that it is not sleeved, only on the sata lines though. all in all it is a cool psu. cant wait to finish buying the parts, nearly there, except i dont know wether it will be sli or crossfire

    nice pics, ty! :)

oh btw, does it have a switch or something or does it auto sense voltage?(110V -220V)

and about the low value on shipping, did you tell them to write a low value or did they do it themselves?
