    Hello
Ok I have tried this before, but it is really bugging me , i need to port forward my router for a certain program, and i am having probelms.
I have a Buffalo Router WYR-G54 and a linksys usb adaptor.

Could some one try and help me, i am pretty sure the main problem is that when i am going into my ip settings to the address translation i think the wan side port wont let me inpt info, i am porbably doing something wrong as i am new to this.

could some one help me once and for all, sorry if i did not include enough information but my hands are so tired from clicking with so much effort and to no avail YET!!!!

    HELP!:)

well what can't you do that the guide is telling you to do?

Write down exactly what you have done, what you've written into each settings box etc

Thats a bit useless. Can't read anything on it. Make a fullsize screenshot so we can actually see it :P

I saved and then expanded the screenie, and it appears that only 1 box is greyed out. You can still set the FIRST WAN-Side port. Have you tried setting that? Is it possible that it requires you to enter a first port before you enter a last port? If not, then just open all the ports separately.

yea, it needs the side port, but im a bit new so how do i get access to that?

Ok.... I think you misunderstood my post.
You appear to be able to set the 1st 'WAN-side' port. In your screenshot, you have only one box circled. If you look just a tiny bit to the left, there is another box. It, like the greyed out box that you have circled, is in reference to the WAN-side port. They, together, make up the 1st and last ports to be opened in a range. My suggestion is that you try inputting some value in the 1st box, and see if it allows the 2nd box to accessed after that.

Other than that, make sure you have static IP set up, and follow the instructions on portforward EXACTLY.

Make sure you do this before you try and do whatever it is you are trying to do.
