van hire from uk

    Hi,

    I need to rent a van or trailer from London to Dublin one way, has anyone done this before or know of anyone who would offer this service. I plan to pick up some goods from ikea while helping my sister move from london. She dosn't have large household goods. Any ideas or suggestions?

    I had a bigish move to do a couple of years ago from London to mainland Europe and gave up looking for one-way van hire after having a lot of difficulty finding it.

    Might be a different story going to Dublin of course....

    Anyway, if you end up changing your plan too and decide to have someone ship it for you (maybe it would be possible to have the ikea stuff picked up from your sister's too?) I'd recommend 'Brunels' (0208 591 7348) they're not expensive cos you do all your own packing etc. but I found them good.
