Streaming Media over a LAN

Hi, I have a PC connected to the net that I use to download and view streams, i.e. radio, tv, etc. Is it possible to stream these streams to other PC's on the LAN? Want to cutdown on internet bandwitdth and not have 2 or 3 PC's streaming the same thing at the same time!

sometimes a web proxy can act also as a streaming media proxy.

How would you set that up?

All machines have XP and are connected to the same workgroup using a router.

Am I never set one up. You should google for streaming media proxy.

Not too sure but Videolan may do what you are looking for.
