HD Boots in Weird "Matrix" Mode

This is a new one on me...

I have a 40gb Seagate Barracuda that rebooted itself and failed to boot a couple of times, and then proceeded to reboot itself into some kind of weird, white, fast "matrix mode"...

Ok, I accept it's "Hospice Time", pop in a 20gb drive with OS and manage to get it open as D: Drive and use Hard Disk Manager to clone it to a 36gb Fujitsu SCSI Drive...which is now doing EXACTLY the same thing...

I have a feeling it may be some kind of boot virus. I've repaired the mbr and it stays the same...

    Any ideas?

Heh, do you mean the screen fills with scrolling numbers?
I had something like that happen before when a linux bootloader went a bit crazy on me.
Did you try the fixboot aswell as the fixmbr?
