Ugh! What a brutal night for me. KK walked into AA after 6 hands. It was made even more painful by the fact that the villain was the worst player in the history of poker and got AA against KK AGAIN against another player just a few hands later. He still pissed away his stack and called down with King high once. Sick! I picked up nothing after I took the rebuy. The blinds were just brutal and I pushed to stay alive a couple of times but never doubled and eventually blinded off.

I decided to play a €100 freezeout with a bunch of ass-clowns (and you can quote me on that) and lost out when I decided to race the chip leader with 4 left. I was almost happy to get away from the table because my ears were bleeding from the nonsensical mutterings of idiots and my ipod had run out of juice. Am I a sore loser? Yes, quite probably.

The tournaments payout structure was fully transparrant, there were dealers and there were lovely professional tables and chips.

As much as I hate sounding like a broken record, I still have to point out a few things I didn't like about the tournament.

    - I don't like having to pay €25 in fees (which included a €10 stealth reg on the rebuy) Atleast you know what you're paying beforehand but its still too much.

    - The blind structure was not the same as was advertised on the website. 75/150 was thrown in and 150/300 was taken out. With a 20 minute clock this makes a big difference and threw me a little. The hike up from 100/200 to 300/600 in 40 minutes was brutal.

    - The dealers were mostly trainees and were very bad. I don't want to have to point things out to a dealer but there was so much going on that they were missing that I had no choice. Also the fact that they were so slow meant you didn't get to see many hands. I counted that it was an average of 7-8 hands a level!!

    - The clock was not stopped during the chip race. I saw Fintan ask the TD if he should stop it and he said no. I asked the TD why and he didn't answer. His answer as to why 150/300 wasn't included was "I decided to change it" No one was informed of the change.

-Either the clock needs to go to 30 minutes or the top up should be done earlier. With the structure the way it is and and the action so slow, it decends into a crapshoot incredibly fast. I know a lot of people will say this is the nature of low buy-in tournaments but I expect better for €125. When there were about 55-60 player left at the 300/600 level the average stack was just 6900. The add-on didn't take place until after level 6. I've never seen this before. Always after level 3 or 4. It didn't make much difference to the play because with 48 players left at 5000/1000 the average was 12000!!

I will be back next week, but its obvious you need to be very lucky to win these. Standard is absolutely shocking. Eveyone just LOVES to see flops at any cost. :D No I'm not bitter. It's late and I'm grumpy and tired. Thank christ for online cash games that's all I'll say.

I have to say I find this forum very amusing, if poker was any other "sport" "game" you could never put down your opisition like this and then turn around and say they beat you without looking like a gimp.

"I played with the worst golfers today"
    "How did you get on?"
"I came last, 10 over Par, but the rest of the field were sh*t they just got lucky and got a few hole in ones"

"Played the worst football team in history today they couldn't kick snow of a rope"
    "how did you get on?"
"we lost 3-0, everything they put their foot to ended up in the back of the net"

I don't care how good your read is on a player, or the pot odds or the amounts of outs you have, alot of people don't spend their life trying to make a living from poker or take it anywhere near as serious as you might and will play loose or go all-in 74o, alot of people just enjoy sitting down, having a chat and a bit of a laugh and IMO for the most part that's the way it should be (a game)

If you don't like playing with ass-clowns, or your game is not good enough to adjust to playing with ass-clowns (I'm not saying it's not), then maybe you should avoid establishments that entertain these ass-clowns. I'm sure there's a gap in the market for a casino were all the "I'm so good!!! AND OMG MY KK WERE CRACKED BY AN ASSHAT" people can play without being bothered.

Maybe it's time to not just look at a bad beat sub-forum, but an elitist "I'm so good OMG MY KK WERE CRACKED BY AN ASSHAT" were you can discuss to your hearts content how average joe wiped the floor with your big stack.

If I was having a night like that, I would be quicker to look at my own game before spouting about ass-clowns taken me up the jaxy and not been up to my standard but still beating me.

Obviously there's not alot you can do about walking into AA with KK but from reading your blog you should know better than anyone else that in poker sh*t happens and tonight you were the giant pamper.

    .

    lol very funny that!.
your piece there reminds me of a monty python sketch where palin was a devout football fan and each weekend he would leave the house with club scarf on to support his local team full of expectation of a good result. of course every week he would come home dejected to his long suffering wife sit down quietly and eventually say "8 bloomin nil".
