took a look over the online manual... it's so customised to Vodafone it doesn't really list out where to config APNs etc... although under the Vodafone Live! menu it mentions 'Internet Profiles' which may be a place to start?

Yes Brian , I started there , but there is a hell of a lot of info in the set up menu , most of which I've never seen before ...

Am trying to get the settings from an O2 V3 for comparison ...

Give o2 a call, they can email you the settings or manually go through them with you. You also need to make sure you are provisioned on the o2 network for gprs or else it definitely won't work.

Ok i put 02 settings on a Moto a835 or somthing. It was on the "3" uk network so it was also heavily custimized like vodafone.Heres a tip,Leave out everything that has a "2" at the end.E.g. domain 2,apn 2 etc. There not needed, well they weren't for me anyway.

You really only need the basics too like:

    Apn----pp.wap.02.ie* (I think)
    Password----This can be anything
    User Name----So can this
Ip address----192.168.090.074*(These are in my phone)
Homepage----Normally the 02 hompage but can be anything.
    Security----Secure or whatever you want.

Im not sure about anything else there but they get me on the internet.

    Try this:

    Name : (anything you like)
    homepage : http://www.o2.ie
Service Type 1 : HTTP Secure
    Gateway IP : 62.40.32.40
    Port 1: 8080
    DNS 1: 62.40.32.33
    DNS 2: 62.40.32.34
    GPRS APN: pp.wap.o2.ie
    name: user
    password: user123

Leave blank anything I haven't listed here. The important thing here is the HTTP Secure setting, this is needed for WAP 2.0.
