Is that really a great price though? A quick search on eBay reveals plenty of Hilfiger watches for a lot less than €79.99. Anybody bought one recently who could enlighten us as to a rough RRP?

Why not, I like that idea, normal jewellers charge so much due to the massive overheads, experienced staff, top security and the fact they may only sell a few items a day.
Girls I know go to brown thomas or other fancy places to try makeup or perfume, then go to the chemist or online to buy it cheap

Yup very true, also noticed a batch of PSPs going with NO RESERVE (oh but P&P is €220!!! ), most of them seem to be going for around €150 so all in these nutters will have paid at least €100 more than the one in the shop.

Ebay is great but you really have to examine things carefully.

But once they're cheap and available from Lidl, what's the point in owning one?;)

I agree that you have to be careful in buying from ebay but this case is not a scam, this is a method of avoiding paying ebay's fees, if the auction for a psp ends for 20 euro, the seller pays smaller fees then if it ends for 250 euro... Ebay are aware of it but there's nothing they can do about it, you just have to keep the eyes open

It is against the rules and if you do it obviously taking the piss they will warn/ban you. Like selling a plasma for $1 with post of $2000.

You see many negative comments with "charged $45 post but stamp was $5" for a buy it now brand new item. The question is why did they not buy from somebody charging only $5 post then? because the other guy was still cheaper thats why, if 2 sellers are selling at the same margin the guy with high er postage can offer it cheaper over all.

Nothing wrong with Tammy Hilflinger, my rolox watch tells the correct time twice a day.
