6800GT Temp levels

need some advice, I have an asus 6800GT and I'm a little worried about
the temp level that it should not surpass as i have no idea what it is. Normally its running about 52 degrees, (asus smart doctor monitoring this). Obviously gaming causes this to rise.
I just not sure what levels are dangerous. I am thinking about upgrading the
stock fan to an artic cooling one. As asus supply you with an overclocking utility I thought the stock fan would be well capable of handling standard
    speeds.

Anyone know what the damaging temp levels are? Should I upgrade the
    fan?

Check this article about the 6800GTO, slightly different than yours, but it should be relevent. My own GTO runns at 45c and 32c ambient when just in windows, and goes up to about 60c/65c when playing the likes of Half-life2

My PNY Verto Ge-Force 6800GT with artic cooler 5 idles about 62-65degrees C and only jumps to around 70 degree c under full load. I think that your alright.

Pick up an Arctic gpu cooler.

If you find an Irish source for them (or rather the ATI Silencer 5 (Rev. 2)) post here as I'm looking for one myself.
