I tend to not write for ages and then whip something out of nothing but i never know if its anything worth keeping, any opinions/corrections etc welcome.

    Sentimental Bird

    Gentle step with an air
    Of knowing but not showing
    This creature of feather
And bone keeps all in its stead
A flick of wing, a turn of head

No fish escapes this steely gaze
    With no malice, truly callous
    Whimsical vision and
    A fleeting gaze renders
    flesh as stone surrenders

    Perched on tall rock, king
    Of sight with nary blight
    You feeble looker, fetish
    Interred in you and yours
    Exploit fashion, pay your whores

Yet this bird is man, weak
    As child born to wild
    This wing is humankind and
Wills to love as we seek to care
To cling as to last air

    Mist of mire restrain
    First kiss immortal bliss
    Children born to spring
    Fair locks, fair skin
    Blue eyes, impish chin

    Those that seek your fall
    Shall feel pain quite real
    Perfection to this bird is
    of no consequence or concern
Just to love, cherish and bear

    Burden lost to your smile
    Wiped mind, follies blind
Ill hold you my dear under
    My white wing shield pure
    You, my pains only cure
