    quick question.

Am heading on holiday to tenereife, pardon the spelling, at the end of the month. Not big into the whole drinking and pub scene. Like good restaurants and finding new places off the beaten track.

Any suggestions or tips out there. Was wondering if the island had a aquarium or somthing on those lines, not a water park.

    Tips please

    Hi

Usually package hols terminate in the South of Tenerife, if you hire a car and head north to puerto de la Cruz this is a mich nicer part of the island and has Lora parc which is lovely also Mount Teide which has a lovely walk up to the top or as far as you wish to go, also lovely marina area not as commercialised as the South Enjoy

Definately go up to the Volcano its super. Bloody cold at the top tho so bring warm clothes, i caught a cold and it ruined the last 2 days of the holiday.
Playa de las americas is all about the drink scene and full of pi**ed 16-30 year olds so stay away from it at night if thats not what your into. I stayed in Los Cristianos and it was quieter, more focus on eating in nice restaurants and wandering around the town at night browsing in the shops which stay open pretty late. There is pubs in Los Cristianos but there'd be more locals in them than us foreigners.
Didnt go to the water park but there is one. Check out google for all the info u need.

if you want to see fish, go out on one of the whalewatching catamarans. its worth every penny. Be careful which one you pick though, as some of them do not treat the whales with respect, going too close and staying out too long. The one we chose was a smaller catamaran.
