Just wondering what people think might be the best to play, as I'm fairly new to online poker I'm mostly playing for fun/practice but obviously wouldn't mind making a small few quid on the way.

I've put aside about 200e a month i can afford to loose, so what games would be best with this fairly small br?

200euro a month is a fairly decent bankroll if your prepared to lose. stts are the way to go imo, especially if your learning the game as you can only lose your buy-in.mtts are gr8 as uve a chance to win lots for a small outlay.read play and learn from mistakes and you wont go far wrong. best of luck

Start with $3 and $5 STT's and see how you get on, maybe mix in some MTT freerolls and low limit cash games.

stay away from cash games imo, there'll always be one or two decent players who will make it tough to learn cheaply! low buy in STT's and freeroll/low buy in MTT's are good

Hi there. Well you have started off with the right attitude by putting a roof on what you are prepared to lose. But dont forget to put a roof on how much you permit yourself to win also, it is good discipline in other words don't spend everything you win.. it's a kick in the teeth.
If you are REALLY new to online poker.. play for free first! Move up in stake SLOWLY playing to your own level as you go. You will find that you will outgrow the level and it will be better for you at that point to move.
100% in agreement in he boardies advice to play STT's at low stake and MTT's low stake. STT's are bread and butter tournaments that with a little skill and a lot of patience will get you cashback.
Best of luck and welcome to our world!

What's going on on boards today! There wasn't one plug in that mail pitboss ;)

As has been said i'd say the 5$ STT's would be a good start (especially on a site where that is the smallest game), with the intention of moving ot the 10$ stt's asap (rake is lower % wise).

The first point is one we should all learn!! I won over $1200 on PPP last week and its nearly all gone because I started playing the bigger games once I had a few quid in the kitty. Stay on the smaller tables even if you win a few $$.

The second point I'm not so sure about. I'd recommend it just to get used to the layout of the site but don't think it will improve your game- IT WONT. People in there play completely different to a real money game, they call with anything and so will you after a while because its only pretend money, then when you move in to the cash games you'll have bad habits.
