He must be saving all his money to take over the world...or something like that. :p

Off the top of my head the regular working week is 40 hours with 8 hours more being the most overtime you can do.

I've worked 14 days on the trot in the past but I was earning overtime and wasn't compelled to do it.

Yeah I've done 18 days in a row before but like yourself I was getting overtime for it. I don't think you can be forced to do it but if you're asked to and you want to there's nothing wrong with it.

did 24 nights in a row last december, had 1 day off then back in for another six nights. got the overtime pay plus extra holidays because of the factories act. was a hell of a month, havn't done o/t since.

as far as i know ther is no law against work 7 days in a row if you want to, or if you sign up for it, but there does have to be adequate rest period given, and you can only work a certain amount of hours over 2 weeks.

oil rig workers tend to work a month on - month off type rota.

of course, you can sign away all the legalities and work 24 hours every day if you really feel the pay benefits are there...

I did 27 nights in a row in a hotel. Never again.

i believe there is an EU directive that states you can't work over 48 hours per week.
