Well, it seems to be pretty quiet around these parts lately and i was wondering about how many people actually pass through here regularly and more importantly, how many photographers boards has.

So, how about posting some info.

not to drag the thread off topic or anything.. but I'd chew my right arm off to have a day or two with one of those X-Pan's. They look like a tasty bit of kit.

I mostly just read this forum, I've a lot to learn I do like taking photos though.

Im using a Nikon F65, its my first SLR. Im buying a Canon 300D later this month.

It probablys rates about 7 or 8 in my life.


Im still pretty new to the whole thing, only really gettin into it for the past 5-6 months I guess.

Panoramic format is really cool, color printing is difficult as the format is 24x65mm but I just do b+w which I print myself. Negatives are really sharp too.

Extent to which photography takes up your life?! It varies, at the moment I'm about a 2. Always thinking about it, wishing I had a better camera, but not really getting out there are taking some god damn photographs.

Extent to which photography takes up your life?! I used be an 8, but having a baby, moving house, job etc. has dropped me right down, probably 2. Dont even have time to earn a few bob from it any more. Look forward to the day again when I can disappear for hours and just wait for everything to be perfect

Extent to which photography takes up your life?! (1 to 10) = I would take my camera around with me to loads of places I go, nearly everywhere I'd go. In that case I'd prolly say about 5-7. <depends on my how busy I am.

Extent to which photography takes up your life?! (1 to 10) - About 4, even though I have all the right equipment, I rarely use the camera outside family occasions. I just feel so weird walking around on my own taking pictures. That, and very few things seem of importance to me for pictures, outside of the family.

When you started,
I have had a camera since I was 11. I started with a little Agfamatic and I got the AM100 when I was 18. The OM10 is my father's and I took it off him about three years ago. I bought the digital fairly recently and am coming to the conclusion that it's nice and dandy and all that but I prefer the fully manual camera.

it's my hobby, my passion and my full time job

Both - Mainly concert Photographs but starting to do off-stage band stuff slowly ....

Currently a canon 20d and looking at a second body.
Gig lens: 70 to 200 f2.8L - have others but am sussing/testing out others to cover fast energetic gigs to listening music and off-stage with view to purchasing more in coming 6 months.

More Seriously: In 2004 and got SLR in Jan 2005.
