Ive been a busy little grade 6 person.

This summer I have reached finals of

    Rushbrooke Singles (lost)

South Tipperary League 4's (lost last night - on tie breaks :/)

hey nice stuff :) I've never been to a tennis tournament of any description but I'm just wondering, what is the standard of tennis like? I would like to go watch some tennis in ireland but I'm not sure where to go or what sorta standard there is out there

Depends where you live. For example in Douglas (Cork) I watched a fantastic Mens Grade 3 Doubles match. Killer display! Ask Amz and the other dubs if your up there....

There are quite a few tournaments in Dublin throughout the year, although they are all finished at this stage. The Tennis Ireland website has a list of them. The next professional tournament that I can think of in Dublin will be the Irish Indoor Championships between Christmas and New Year. The standard of tennis is usually good in all the tournaments, especially in the finals, because you'll usually get two fairly equal players, regardless of the class involved. Most of the tournaments have Class 2 as the highest, but some, like the Irish Open, Irish Close, Irish Indoors, County Dublin, West of Dublin, etc have Class 1. I think all the Danone Masters qualifying tournaments have class 1, but I could be wrong.
