This might seem pointless, but I and another few people have also got some kind of cough/cold the last week or so, interesting to see is it common at this time.

yeah, bad sore throat came out of nowhere since last tuesday morning. Just getting rid of it now... dont know where it came from

Hayfever season is over

Pollen counts are very low and likely to stay that way for the next eight months or so.

If someone has allergic symptoms in September, it's generally a sign of an allergy other than hayfever, dust or whatever.

I have a cold at the moment. Have done for a short while now. I had just gotten over the hayfever to be hit with this. Lovely.

Yup, caught a nasty virus thing late last w/e, started with sore throat and headache,missed monday at work and have been coughing like the Marlboro man ever since. Better to get out of the way before the weather turns colder...

I wish I only had a cold, have had pneumonia for two weeks and have now got pleurisy - and you don't want that, its so painful.

i didnt have a full on cold, but had headaches nd felt like the flu was coming on but then it just all went away after a day or two

Thought I had one coming on last night and when I woke up this morning. Took 2 Nurofen cold and flu this morning though and its gone well away.

I always keep a few in case I feel I have a cold coming on. They seem to get rid of it straight away. Hopefully I don't build up an immunity to them.

I've never sufferd from hay fever in my life, but from about Monday to Thursday, i had a cold...sore throat, chesty cough, stuffy then runny nose.

Obviously i didn't go to the doctor as it's just a virus, but i was told by a doctor before that the reason there is always a viral break out during the summer is the ballymun in the sun lads going off to placeslike aya napa and getting from filthy pools, poor hygine places, picking up chest infections etc. and bringing it home with them.

More reason for the flights out to those places to be one way only.

I had slight hayfever at the start of the summer and now i'm all congested.
My throat be killin' me! Very scratchy and dry. Hate Colds!! But having said that i kind-of brought it on myself - bugger all sleep for 3 days followed by an allnighter debs, drunk most nights so maybe i got off lightly?
Colds during the summer are just taking the piss!sick in so many ways....

i had a sore throat from monday then on thurs morning my nose was blocked, and a dry cough started, so i got the lempsip max strength and supprisingly it cleared my head but didnt sort the cough, now since ive bronchitus it hit me hard, at the moment ive the sweats with wheezy breathing a blocked nose and one hell of a headache, worse than a hangover tbh.
i dont think ill be back to work till tuesday tbh.

i thought it was just me but someone mentioed it was going around, now today my dad has it.

Had a runny nose for 24 hours from Thursday evening to yesterday evening. And I mean constantly running like a tap. Was fine again by the time I went to bed last night. Got a bloody sore nose from all the wiping!

I've been suffering all week. Woke up Tuesday with a killer of a sore throat. Thats after progressing into a chesty cough, and a horrible stuffy head cold and constant headache. Only starting to feel human again tonight.

I've also met an extraordinary amount of people with similar symptoms in the last fortnight.
