Ok lets set something straight, please dont reply saying Window ME is c**p cos i know it is......but the laptop I am fixing is not mine so i dont care what OS is on it, it belongs to a local school, for whom i do IT work.

everytime i open microsoft word i get blue screen saying error 0e:01a7:BFF8E64B think i may need to do reinstall, but always like that to be last option.

    ME is crap, sorry,

    Whats the event log saying??

Is it only word that causes the blue screen, i.e. is exel ok?

A re-install is probably the first thing I'd do, wouldn't take that long.

    Run a checkdisk too.
