whats the max info you can get from a website name...
is it possible to use nslookup to get more than the ip number?

You can get its ip address just by pinging it.

Use " tracert web addy " command in dos. These are the only commands that I know of in dos.

    Get the Internet Toolkit
    from www.tnsoft.com
    its pretty damn sweet
u can do multiple host pings
    traceroutes lookups
    port scans
    finger
    service scans
    etc.
    etc.
    more stuff than u need...
although if your just looking for information about the server itself (e.g. what O/S specs **** like that) don't believe you can unless it has a finger daemon setup that replies with information.. but thats just stupid smile.gif
