I saw this recently, figured it might have some appeal to the boards crowd.

This website is looking for hand histories from PokerTracker, and depending on how many (10,000, 30,000 or 50,000) you can get a free analysis of your play, book or t-shirt.

The guy who is running it wants to amass a large set of data to try and find optimal plays in particular situations, hence the incentive. It may be worth your while. The book, if you manage to get one, is unrelated to poker but dead interesting.

I have absolutely no affiliation with these guys, just thought it was an interesting experiment that people might be curious abought. Also, read the FAQ yourselves to determine if you think it is above board.

The guy who's running this study is an absolute genius. He writes a blog (freakonomics) about different things that are going on in the world, mostly economic things, and his views are so complex yet accessible its ridiculous. I'm happy to see that he's doing a study on poker, and i'd send a HH in only i don't have enough hands played to participate. I'd encourage the long time players to send them in, seen as something fascinating will almost surely result in it.

some wizzkid is going to hack into the university computers... steal all the research without their knowledge, and create the worlds most advanced poker bot, which will go on to destroy the game of poker as we know it :D
