Fedora Core 4 Partitioning problems

    Hi Guys,

I need some help here because i spent 5 hours last night installing/re-installing/ getting very annoyed with Druid.

Ok here is what I had on my system

I have 2 hdd's, 1 primary master drive which is solely windows xp home, the boot partition for both drives is contained at the beginning of this drive.

1 primary slave drive which contains windows xp pro. Using the boot sector on hdd 1 I can boot to this drive.

    Here's what I did

I created a new partition on hdd2 using partition magic... this worked fine. So I had a 30g partition for my linux install.

Then I installed fedora on this partition creating the boot loader on hdd1... this was stupid because there is no unpartitioned space on this drive so it obviously didn't work.

Next I put hdd2 as master and hdd1 as slave. Installed fedora again and this time putting boot loader on hdd2. No I can boot fedora but can't see windows, if i boot to slave drive i can see windows and i don't expect windows to see fedora.

Not being happy with this setup i went back to original config. I installed fedora on hdd2 and boot loader again on hdd2... keep in mind this is slave drive. Windows now boots as normal. But when I boot to slave drive fedora starts to load but then stalls. I will try and get the exact error later that pops up... but has anyone set up a similar config?

btw... There was about 5/6 stupid mistakes inbetween all this... i'm nearly at the stage of giving up.
