    Hi all,

    Recently made the switch to Mozilla Thunderbird and firefox, and love it...dont think I'd ever go back, this from a guy that till recently never saw past Microsoft ( even though i regularly cursed them!!!)

    Anyway problem is small and cosmetic and just a little annoying more then anything else..........when I click reply on thunderbird the cursor goes to the bottom of the email rather then the top as with most other mail programs looked at options and am unable to find work around.

    Any ideas?

    Dave

    Tools->Account Settings->Composition and Addressing.

    Should find the option you want there.

    But if the cursor is going to the top you'd be more likely to top-post :mad:

    unsure what you mean or why ur mad, most emails replies are above the original.

    some people prefer to post/reply under the original message. I prefer top posting for mails.

    Its jsut a matter of preference.

    Although in newsgroups top post is frowned on...

    Sorry to barge in but whilst in on the topic of Thunderbird iv a question:-

    If I run Thunderbird on a PC which has Outlook express and import over all the mail etc. does that mean that Outlook Express looses all that? Or is it just copied over?

    Reason why I ask is id like to test out Thunderbird on my Ma's PC to see if she can use it, and if not ill switch back to Outlook Express.

    export all your settings and mail from outlook. All this will do will create a file containing all the info.

    Then you import this file into Thunderbird. Both programs should then have the same data. Its not destructive.

    Just to backup this point, the data is just copied over.
