    It only seems to be listed for sale from one place which brings two possibilities to mind.

    1. The sellers page is way out of date and it hasn't actually been sold in years.

    2. It seems to have been used in Dells, so people could have an old Dell they're still using, the hard drive could go in it and they look around for an exact replacement without realising there's countless cheaper and better alternatives available. I've seen the same thing on a memory retailers website, if you enter your PC as being an old Dell it recommends memory several times dearer than the exact same memory if you search for it in terms of spec (100mhz EDO etc)

    It's a 540MB IDE hard disk - that'd make it, what, ten year old technology???

    I wouldn't worry about it too much... if you need to get the machine back up and running, anything smaller than 8.4Gb will probably work okay...
