Anybody tried one of these? It attaches to a Floyd Or Floyd licenced to give instant dropped D, allegedly.

Seemingly you have to forego the opportunity to pull sharp though, they say you can use a tremsetter but I'm not sure how accurate that would be.

Not seen it but interesting idea.
Bit waste of money though :)

Would be interested in seeing its accuracy, but since Drop D is so easy to do its a bit pointless.

Drop D is hell to do on a Floyd Rose equipped guitar Paladin. As for the trem setter, I have one in my LTD and I only tune Drop D relative to the A string if you understand me. The rest of the strings still go out of tune. Still, I wouldn't mind giving one a go though. You can't use the trem to raise the pitch after you install it. Ibanez have a Drop D device on some of their fixed bridge guitars I've noticed.

Like Fey said, doing it on a Floyd equipped guitar is a tedious process at the very best of times. I'd be keen to see this thing in action, could be very handy indeed.

We bassists, of course being years ahead of guitarists in terms of embracing technology, have had the hipshot tuner for many, many years now for such a purpose. :p

It came standard on EVH's Wolfgang didn't it? Of course, the Floyd was surface mounted so you wouldn't need a trem setter.

Always liked the Wolfgang shape. Must see about getting one.

I have one on my wolfgang. Its really only to drop you in the region of D, you still have to fine tune it. I guess its handy enough if you switch back and forth a lot, but i took my off (it just attatches to a longer than normal allen bolt, you know, the ones that push the retaining block in place)
