2 Button hands...I took 2 different lines from the turn..Which is optimum???
Villain in hand #1 was weak passive..i think he was getting tired of my raises..
Villain in hand 2 was on tilt after losing stack with TPTK to a set (not to me)

My stack ~300..have villain covered..
Folded to me on button
I make it $8 with A9o
SB calls
Flop A 6 6 (2 spades)
I bet pot, SB calls.

Turn T (not spade)
Check , I Check

River = Brick
He bets 3/4 pot I call
I win..He had KTspades

He checks and calls my pot bet.

Turn is T completing the rainbow.

He checks I bet $40.
He moves in i fold!!! I am getting better than 2:1 here..But I reckon its a fold..Should I have used my position to keep the pot small...

If you had bet the turn and got raised what would you have done? I think it was nicely played anyway, you probably won the most you could have and lost the least if he had a better A or a 6. I doubt many better hands than your A9 are folding if you raise the river.

Looks like a safe enough fold, there's plenty of potential hands for the BB that beat you K with better kicker, KT, K9, 9T, 44.
When you button raise against a tilting BB I think you need to keep betting when you hit your top pair. In this case it just looks like the turn helped him to make 2 pair or something.

I would have raised the turn, doubtful he has a better A, he would more than likely have re-raised you pre-flop, if he had a 6 on the flop and was trapping you, you'll find out with another decent bet, if he's drawing find out now and make him pay to hit it.
Good call on the end, and the bet was to be expected following your turn check. He probably put you on a lower flush draw, possibly.

I would have played this hand the same way, unless he's on savage tilt I can't see him going all-in with less than K8, possibly a cheeky 2 pair or trips,

I think you're using your position here to win the pot, with pot-sized bets you were betting hoping he'd fold, when he calls, you need to re-assess your hand strength, IMHO a check on the turn to try and hit another card would have been fine, (A weaker play but some people might advocate it) and the bet to find out how strong he was is also fine (what I would have done), when you were re-raised you found out he was strong and so made the right move and folded.

Hand 1 is well played, hand 2 I check the turn most of the time. You have to fold.
