    hmm no that was working crap.... its basically a highly polished chromed stell ball that can be held on a tripod , it allows you to take a half sphere image through reflection to produce HDR images for commputer rendering.

    Someone suggested a mirrored christmas ball, but I can only find very small ones that are smooth enough, although the seaon of plenty is fast approaching.

    You can get stainless steel/chrome stress balls that are fairly well mirrored in the markets, etc. I've messed around with them before and the results are reasonable. The best thing to use though would be one of those big convex mirrors they use in shops to keep an eye around corners. You get fisheye effects, it's pretty cool

    No this is for architectural imaging.

    I thought about the fish eye Shrimp but it means you get stuck with the one camera, but thanks for the options guys.

    My cheapo russian fish-eye lens (that was used for this) has an adaptor for Canon and Nikon mounts. I think the better/more expensive Sigma ones do likewise.
