need to buy a printer for home. havent bought one in years so know nothing about whats standard now. nothing fancy needed just something cheap enough but reliable with decent print quality and preferrably not too big. one that could photocopy too might be a added extra.
    Any recommedations?

Personally, i think all-in-one's are a bad idea. There consumables are usually more expensive, and if one item breaks, you have to replace the whole unit (which is fairly pricy to begin with).

I got a decent printer a few months back. Epson R200. I get cheap refills (a few euro per cartridge) and it works great. The R300 has a few more features that you might like if you have a digital camera, but i didn't need em. Its also a tad faster.

I have got a HP psc 2179 all-in-one...i think it's excellent, it's fast and consumes hardly any ink at all

Has extra features for photo printing too and the quality is very good...it was €235 for it in pc world last year but i'd say theres an updated model by now

    Here!
They used to stock another brand, but they don't have em anymore. They're ok pricewise, and i've used em for 4 years without a bother on my old printer. Then it died of old age.

The R200 is currently e-tailing at just under €100.

I'd be recommending Epson printers as well. There is a relatively cheap All in one Epson called I think the CX3600. You can find cheap compatible ink cartridges for it on www.7dayshop.com

    I prefer Epson too.

A little off-topic: Mutant, is this shop SVP reliable? Have you ever had delivery problems?
