Hello Everybody.
This is my first post on Boards.ie and my first time on an Internet 'chat site'.
It took alot of courage and a quite week of work to finally build up the courage to use one of these internet disscussion zones. I was afraid that these places are full of loners and hermits, but I gave the place a quick goo and while it is a little bit nerdie, it's seems as best as I will find on the Interweb.
[I like the way you can hover over titles and you can see if the subject is worth reading. That is very satisfactory.
I also would like it if the people who run this thing could get rid of some of the more useless categories, like the vegetarian or the pets sections, these are hindering the accessability of the site and slowing everything down which I do not appreciate. Anyway I don't wish to sound too pushy on my first post, I hope we can all be friends. Although not outside the Interweb as that would be so very wierd.]

Well welcome to Boards...don't feel like i'm pushing you away though AH is not the forum for your post, Newbies/FAQ is just right

Why did it take a week of work and alot of courage to use Boards? Afraid of what?

First things first, on Boards your opinion is not really going to be taken too seriously just yet, your new and it's not really going to make a difference what you appreciate...just don't be a muppet around here and you will be accepted not banned...

As for friends outside the interweb, you obviously haven't had a good 'goo' yet because every month or two about 200 users meet up for drinks..it's called Boards Beers

Oh and as for the Vegetarian and Pet forums...whats your problem with them? They are fine..theres alot worse on Boards e.g the mustard forum
