Well what did everyone think of episode 1x03 titled "Buschwacked"?

It seemed like it was going to be a filler kind of episode to me. But there are some interesting moments in it. Such as
We see River more sensitive side to places where people died. (she hears the screams)
We also get a first glimse for what the Reavers do to ships and people.

Once Mal figgers out what happened on the ship, you see how he protects the crew from
    knowing about the boobietrap
Then once the Alliance show up
he hides River and Simon outside the ship.
even though they have only been on Serenity for a week or two at this point.

Over all I like the ep as it played out. But I felt it really didn't get going till at least 20, maybe 30min into it.

So what did you think of episode 3 "Buschwacked" 10 votes

It was a good enough episode. Definitely one of the weaker ones, though.

It was interesting to hear more about the
    reavers
. It was really only this and the pilot episode that they were mentioned.

It had some very funny moments, too, but which episode doesn't? :p

It had great athmosphere and set up and the comedy thrown in there worked well with it such as Simon
    going in in the spacesuit

The individual interrigations were excellent and are easily one of my favourite scenes from the entire series like contrasting Wash and Zoe,
    "The Legs!"
    , and having Jayne
just sit there while we saw them uncover all his guns

(Do I have to do the spoiler thingy on the jokes?, I don't want to ruin anything for anyone but you shouldn't read anything like this about the show untill you watch it for yourself)

I liked this episode - the darkness and the funny - the best of Firefly!

But as with several of the episodes, I think it would have been better if it had been longer - allowed to unfold more gradually, the final sequence lasting longer than a few minutes.

Or maybe it would have been better if all Firefly episodes were longer. And it hadn't been cancelled. And it ran continously all day, every day, forever. :D
