Uses for old Floppy Disks

In recent years the 3.5in floppy disks seem to have all but dissapeared. Most new pc's don't even have a floppy drive. I have about 50 of these disks now-all blank and formatted, but they are no use to me. I know our office has many more. Is it a case of dumping these or is there somewhere/someone who'd get some use out of them?
    Thanks

You could throw a message up in one of the for sale forums ?
If none of the boardsies want them maybe they know someone who might ?

I seen a program on TV recently where Brazil's poor are being educated on pc's that we wouldn't look at. Surprising no charity has started a "collect a floppy" campaign!

Can never have enough of them. Great for boot-disks, and getting stuff off NT machine's (USB doesn't work well with NT).

Put a Boards.ie shortcut on all the discs. Then, label them all. On the labels, write things like "Porn", "Private", "Top Secret", "Accounts" etc. etc. - then distribute them around town, leaving them in shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants, parks and so on.

This idea may or may not have been ripped off some other site, depending on if anyone can find the URL or not...

Pull back the slider and try fire it over 20 feet, difficult to do as theres only one way to make it fire.

This is an understatement - legend has it some devices have NT USB drivers, but I've never seen one in real life and it sounds even worse than mixing point enabled pcmcia drivers in DOS

anyway usually not an issue - you can use a Knoppix boot disk to get stuff off an NT machine unless it has SCSI RAID - in which case it's fun and games if NT won't boot , 3.9 also picks USB memory sticks / USB hard drives on the fly too.

Alternatively you could use a dos boot disk with NTFSDOS to pull files off an NT box as some RAID 5 SCSI arrays are visible to DOS
