Eircom email

    I want to set up an email account with Eircom PayAsYouGo, two bits of info I do not have are
    a) Incomming POP3 mail server, and
    b) Outgoing SMTP setver

    Anybody know there settings?

    i think all eircom the same.

    POP3 (incoming): mail2.eircom.net
    SMTP (outgoing): mail2.eircom.net

    there is also mail1.eircom.net afaik. Both are same for pop/smtp.

    On the subject when you change from Eircon can you continue to use those mail servers indefinitly?
    Does anyone know BTs?

    gpo.iol.ie for recieving email from bt
    and mail.iol.ie for sending

    ive an eircom email but am on bts service so i have to use
    mail.iol.ie to send
    and mail2.eircom.net to receive

    Thanks for that sparky.
    I'm on BT a few months now ..Only noticed i'm still using mail1.eircom.net for outgoing mail....still working...Mind you prob just a well to change them...
