If you look at the vertical lines on the upper half of the knob, check out where they meet that part where it slopes out towards the bottom. On the $200 knobs there's a tiny little lip at the end of the vertical grooves where they look like teeeny little (American) hockey sticks whereas the $100 set from 1982 are stright all the way down. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, that's certainly worth an extra $100
