    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a young self-starter to help out with our office network in our Galway office. Ideally, I'm looking for someone with one year's experience of systems work but aptitude and a good attitude will carry a lot of weight.

An "ad-style" jobspec is below. If anyone has questions, feel free reply here or to drop me an informal PM and I'd be delighted to help in any way I can.

    K

    Systems Technician

Galway based software developers and engineering consultancy seek an exceptional individual to join our team of highly-skilled professionals.

MCS brings leading edge, innovative engineering analysis technology to subsea engineering design from our offices in Galway, Aberdeen, Houston, Rio de Janeiro and Perth, Western Australia. We’ve earned an unrivalled reputation from our clients through involvement with the most challenging offshore projects throughout the world. Our software products are recognised industry leaders in their field. See our website at www.mcs.com for further details.

This position primarily involves the administration and maintenance of our Galway office network and email. You will also have the opportunity to provide support to our other offices from time-to-time and there is significant career development potential.

Ideally, you should hold a qualification in IT and have at least one years experience. You should be enthusiastic about computers; both hardware and software. Extensive technical knowledge is expected; you should be very familiar with Microsoft operating systems and PC hardware. Some experience with networking, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Outlook and Visual Basic would be beneficial. Provided you can demonstrate your aptitude, training will be provided in areas with which you are not familiar.

If you are the person to meet the challenges of this position, please apply in writing to Kieran Coughlan at galway@mcs.com.
