Ok, obvously a lot of people will have doen this before so really I'm just looking for any advice anyone out there can give on packing it all in here and heading off around the world.

Two things that interest me are
    1. Just moving lock stock and barrell to another country, new job, new lift etc.
    2. Putting everthing on hold, taking out 6 months or a year and seeing a bit of the world.

Anybody got any experience of either of these?Any recommendations, locations, methods? Also what type of funds were needed?

    Any advice appreciated.

Depends where you want to go and how much money you want to spend. I had an amazing time on my trip; the first of many, I hope.

Spent about three grand on preliminaries - flights, insurance, kit etc., and then roughly a grand a month on accomodation, food and tours. It's possible to travel for much less, though, particularly in India.
