I've come across a seriously weird problem. When I use a scrollbar, in any application, it crashes my PC. The screen just disappears immediately and even though it looks like the PC is still on, it has actually crashed and needs to be restarted. At first i thought it was the monitor, but it is definitely not. Has anyone ever seen this before??? It happens if I click on the scrollbar with my mouse and drag it up or down, or , it happens when i use the scrolll arrows too.... ???

Do you have display drivers installed, with out them everything gets jerky and maybe thats just crashing your system.
Also thumbnail previews can be quite demanding if there's a lot in a folder, try turning them of if you have them on.
Other than that i dunno, weird problem.

I had a look at all display settings, they seem fine. The PC is only a year old! At firs i thought it might be a rogue program so i went to Add/Remove programs, of course as soon as i went to scroll down through the list of programs it happened again!!

use the mouse wheel & page down/up to scroll and see if you still have the same prob.
