What's the general opinion on sellers with private feedback?

Take this seller for instance. They have a 6134 positive / 84 negative feedback rating, but have the feedback comments hidden as private.

This seems a bit dodgy to me, it's like they're trying to hide something.

Personally, I don't like it when a seller does that, but I still would get "cheaper" stuff off them if they had a good record.

For larger purchases, I wouldn't dream of it. There could be a couple of thousand .99p sales and a few for a couple of hundred that the seller ripped people off on.

But if it's for a small or cheap item it's not that big a deal imho.

    Basically what nesf said.
I wouldn't risk* serious money on a buyer with private feedback.

*risk: well under .5% risk tbh.

I can only see one reason they would make private feedback, they have something to hide. I just avoid them, obviously they know they are loosing huge amounts of business and must have some dodgy reason to do so.
