Beware of phishing

    no not fishing!

    In a phishing attack, a fraudster spams the Internet with email (or in this case by your poker chat window) claiming to be from a reputable financial institution or e-commerce site. The message urges the recipient to click on a link to update their personal profile or carry out some transaction(or in this case, to receive a poker bonus). The link takes the victim to a fake website designed to look like the real thing. However, any personal or financial information entered is routed directly to the scammer.

    This happened to me today while on PPP, I checked out the website (www.vcpokerbonus.com) and it has all the hallmarks of a phishing site.. STAY CLEAR!!

    ps: the link above will not work, you need to append /Promo/ to the url above to see the site.. i would not advise entering any of your details..
