windows media player looks like crap

    when i play some movies in windows media player, it looks like all rasta trippy like.

    does anyone know how to fix this, is there a special download somwhere?

    move this mods if u want, didn't know where else to post it

    all thats happenin is u don't have the right codec (software movie decoder) to run the movie so its showing up media players' own graphics...right click on the file u are trying to play while in media player and click properties ...tell us what codec it is...see the pic attached

    Updating WMP might not solve the codec issue, but installingVLC probably will.

    yeah i was thinkin maybe it was the activex plugin that was not workin...easier than trying to explain how to get a codec
