I getting used to the photography, but i have only a Canon A85 at the moment, and i'm thinking of upgrading, to either the Panasonic FZ20 or FZ30, as they seem to get decent reviews every where i look. Just wondering has anyone had experience with these. The only big downer with the Panasonics, is the image noise associated with it,(although, i wouldn't worry too much, as Noise Ninja does a great job on pics i have taken with the Canon,)

I would like to get a good D-SLR, but the price and the fact that my photography skills, wouldn't justify me getting one (would be kinda akin to driving a Ferrari 250 GTO across a rocky field.. :p )

    any info would be great

You shouldn't look at it like that. If you are going to keep up photography, you will more than likely turn to DSLR in the future anyway, so why not start now. It will be a steep learning curve, but nothing a few books and websites won't help you with.

well i'd love to start off in a dslr, as i got to mess around with one when i was in college last year (Canon EOS-1Ds), deacent camera so it was. But i'd like to learn the ins and outs first before get into the heavy machinery, and anyway anything over 600 yoyo's is it a bit too much (although, if i could pick up a Rebel XT at the right price, ;) i wouldn't be complaining ) anyways at the moment i don't have enough free time, so it would be a waste taking only a few pics a week with dslr.,

    Hi.

I've got a Panasonic FZ15K and I find it excellent. Would come highly reccomended. Got mine brought in from the USA.

Really nice to hold. good weight and excellent value for money. Really useful zoom as well.
