next week i'll be getting my hands on an free G3 ibook without a screen, i'm assuming the machine will still boot, the problem is i don't have access to a screen to hook it up to as i'll be out of the country. so i'm wondering is there anyway i can access the mac to turn on the ssh daemon, i'll have a user account on the mac, that can su to root.
Has anyone ever done anything like this? sometimes i wish mac's were a little less mac, more linux!

assuming that it has os 10.x on it try holding cmd+s while you boot this should take you into single user mode (directly to a command prompt) from there you ought to be able to enable ssh (assuming you know the correct command) ..... sorry it escapes me right now what it would be to turn on the ssh sharing port. try moacosxhints.com for it
